Prof. Hui Ma

Northeastern University

Prof. Hui Ma was born in September 1978.  Currently, he serves as a Level-3 Professor and doctoral supervisor at Northeastern University, affiliated with the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation. He is a core member of the academic team led by Academician Bangchun Wen at Northeastern University and also acts as the Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of "Aero-Engine Vibration and Control" (Category B) of the Ministry of Education.


His academic honors include: being selected into the "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program" by the Ministry of Education in 2011; listed in the "Hundred Talents" level of Liaoning Province's "Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Talents Project" in 2018; named a "Young Top Talent" under the "Xingliao Talents Program" in 2018; chosen as one of the second batch of "Academic Leaders in Liaoning Province" in 2020; elected as a "Highly Cited Researcher in the World" (in the field of Engineering) by Clarivate Analytics in 2023; consecutively selected as an "Elsevier China Highly Cited Scholar" from 2021 to 2024; and included in Stanford University's "World's Top 2% Scientists List" for four consecutive years from 2020 to 2024.


Professor Ma holds positions as an editorial board member of several high-level journals. He is also a member of the Rotor Dynamics Technical Committee of the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM), a member of the Rotor Dynamics Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering, a member of the Nonlinear Vibration Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering, and an executive director of the Liaoning Society for Vibration Engineering.


As the first author or corresponding author, he has published over 300 academic papers, including 188 papers indexed by SCI (129 of which are in JCR Zone 1) and more than 70 papers indexed by EI. His works have been cited over 13,000 times by others (according to Google Scholar), with more than 6,000 citations from SCI-indexed papers. His H-index is 66 (Google Scholar), 58 (Web of Sciences), and 63 (Scopus). Additionally, 15 of his papers have been selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers, and 3 as ESI Hot Papers. He has published 2 monographs through Science Press and Wuhan University of Technology Press.


His main research directions are:
(1) Rotating machinery dynamics and digital twin;
(2) Intelligent diagnosis and life prediction of rotating machinery;
(3) Dynamics and vibration control of aero-engine pipeline systems.

Prof. Xianzhen Huang

Northeastern University

Prof. Xianzhen Huang was born in June 1982, is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Northeastern University. He is a recipient of the "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program" by the Ministry of Education, a "Young Top Talent" under Liaoning Province's "Xingliao Talents Program", and a "Leading Talent of Shenyang". His main research areas include mechanical reliability, industrial big data, and robot mechanisms. Up to now, he has published over 100 academic papers in renowned domestic and international journals such as *Reliability Engineering & System Safety*, *ASME Journal of Mechanical Design*, and *Mechanism and Machine Theory*, among which 52 are indexed by SCI. He has been granted 26 invention patents. He has undertaken 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects (including 2 general projects and 1 youth project), 1 project under the "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program" of the Ministry of Education, 1 National Postdoctoral Fund project, and 3 basic scientific research projects of central universities. In addition, he has participated in more than 10 national-level projects, including the 973 Program, key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, goal-oriented projects of the 863 Program, and major special projects for science and technology of high-grade CNC machine tools and basic manufacturing equipment. His academic achievements have earned him numerous awards, including 1 First Prize of Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education, 1 China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Achievement Award, and 1 Nomination Award for Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Liaoning Province. He has also been honored as a "Thousand-Level Talent" in Liaoning Province's "Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Talents Project", a "Top Talent of Shenyang", a tenured professor of Northeastern University, a "Young Model Worker" of Northeastern University, a recipient of the "Jianghe Teaching Award" of Northeastern University, an "Excellent Class Advisor" of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation of Northeastern University, an "Advanced Individual" of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation of Northeastern University, an "Excellent Communist Party Member" of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation of Northeastern University, and a recipient of the "Special Contribution Award" of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation of Northeastern University.

Prof. Yaping Zhao

Northeastern University

Prof. Yaping Zhao is currently working at Northeastern University. He is a recipient of the "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program" by the Ministry of Education, an "Excellent Talent in Colleges and Universities of Liaoning Province", and a "Leading Talent of Shenyang".


He has published more than 40 papers in several SCI journals and Journal of Mechanical Engineering. He holds 5 authorized invention patents related to worm drive. He was invited to participate in compiling the monographs Advances in Gear Theory and Gear Cutting Tool Design (note: the two monographs with the same title are listed as per the original text). He has presided over 4 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 provincial fund project, 1 university fund project, and 1 project of basic scientific research funds for universities, etc.


He has been awarded the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award, the Invention and Entrepreneurship Award (Innovation Award), multiple excellent paper awards from provinces, cities and academic societies, and the "Scientific Chinese Person of the Year (Outstanding Young Scientist Award)".


He serves as a senior member of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, a member of the National Technical Committee on Gears Standardization, a member of the Metallurgical Equipment Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Metals, Vice-Chair of the IFToMM Technical Committee on Gears and Transmissions, and a member of ASME. He has long been an expert for letter review or meeting review of National Natural Science Foundation projects, major special projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and provincial and municipal science and technology special projects.


His main research directions are:

(1)Intelligent design theory and method of mechanical transmission;
(2)Computer-aided mathematical methods for nonlinear equations;
(3)Engineering differential geometry.

Prof. Gang Li

Liaoning University of Technology

Prof. Gang Li, doctoral supervisor, graduated with a Doctor of Engineering degree from Jilin University and was a visiting scholar at the School of Vehicle and Mobility, Tsinghua University. His research directions include vehicle system dynamics and control, intelligent electric vehicle chassis integration and testing, and automotive intelligent driving. He is a member of the first Youth Committee and a senior member of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China), as well as a member of the Rules Committee of the China University Student Formula Car Competition. Currently, he serves as the Dean of the School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering, Director of the Liaoning Key Laboratory of New Energy Vehicle Chassis and Drive Technology, and Head of the National First-Class Undergraduate Major Construction Site for Vehicle Engineering. He has been selected as a Liaoning Provincial College Teaching Master, the first batch of Excellent Graduate Tutors in Liaoning Province, a "Hundred Talents" level talent in Liaoning's "Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Talents Project", an Innovative Talent in Liaoning Provincial Colleges and Universities, an Excellent Science and Technology Worker in Liaoning Province, the Most Beautiful Science and Technology Worker in Liaoning Province, a member of the Liaoning Provincial Mechanical Teaching Steering Committee, and the first batch of Excellent Experts in Jinzhou City. As the instructor of the Wande Racing Team of Liaoning University of Technology, he was awarded the "Outstanding Contribution Figure" in the China University Student Formula Car Competition. He has presided over and participated in 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation (Youth Fund, General Program, and Joint Fund). He has also presided over and completed a number of scientific research projects, including Liaoning Provincial Major Science and Technology Special Projects, Liaoning Provincial Key Research and Development Projects, and enterprise technology R&D projects. He has won 1 third prize for provincial technological invention, 1 third prize for provincial scientific and technological progress, and 2 municipal scientific and technological progress awards. He has published more than 80 academic papers in domestic and foreign renowned journals and academic conferences such as *Automotive Engineering*, *Science China*, and IEEE, and has been granted more than 20 invention patents, as well as over 60 utility model patents and software copyrights. He has presided over 3 provincial educational reform projects, won 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 1 third prize of Liaoning Provincial Teaching Achievement Awards, and a second prize in the Liaoning Provincial Teaching Innovation Design Competition. He has guided students to win more than 50 national and provincial awards in innovation competitions.

Prof. Xiaowei Yin

Shenyang Institute of Engineering

Prof. Xiaowei Yin, a full senior engineer and master's supervisor, obtained his doctoral degree in Mechanical Design and Theory from Northeastern University. He currently serves as the Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shenyang Institute of Engineering, the academic leader of the Mechanical Engineering discipline, the leader of the Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation program, the director of the Liaoning Key Laboratory of Reliability and Health Management for Energy and Power Equipment, and the head of the Liaoning Modern Industrial College of Intelligent Manufacturing. He is honored as an "Excellent Talent in Colleges and Universities of Liaoning Province", an "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Expert of Liaoning Province", a "Science and Technology Evaluation Expert of Liaoning Province", an "Outstanding Science and Technology Worker of Shenyang", a "Top Talent of Shenyang", and a "Science and Technology Evaluation Expert of Shenyang". He holds positions as a member of the Reliability Engineering Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, a director of the Fatigue Branch of the Chinese Materials Research Society, a member of the China Electric Power Equipment Management Association, a member of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering, and a letter review expert for National Natural Science Foundation projects. He conducted visiting research at Rutgers University in the United States from December 2017 to December 2018. **Research Fields and Achievements**:   His research focuses on system reliability and structural fatigue reliability of energy and power equipment, exploring basic theories, experimental technologies, simulation and numerical methods in the full life cycle (design, manufacturing, service, and maintenance) of energy equipment such as wind power generation, as well as related interdisciplinary fields. He has published over 60 academic papers, more than 30 of which are indexed by SCI, EI, etc. He has authored 1 monograph and edited 3 textbooks. He has applied for and obtained more than 10 invention patents and software copyright registrations. His research achievements have won the Second Prize of Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the China Machinery Industry Federation.
